While the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the value of technology in the healthcare industry, the applications of many of these technologies span far beyond the pandemic. Remote, continuous temperature monitoring, for example, continues to gain momentum as a tool to identify fevers earlier than the standard of care in a broad range of hospital and clinical trial settings. Earlier fever detection leads to better patient outcomes, and has the potential to greatly improve both inpatient and outpatient care.
